At Agility Physiotherapy we welcome the opportunity to work in affiliation with Care Homes.
It is a fact of life that with ageing we find mobility more difficult and we begin to lose strength, flexibility and often confidence. If we don’t intervene this can lead to certain health consequences and loss of independence. But with the right intervention and preventative measures from a physiotherapist it is possible to devise gait re-education and exercise programmes that offer protection and improve quality of life.
We have formed some very close working relationships with a number of care homes that have engaged us for our knowledge, expertise and vast experience in care of the elderly and rehabilitation.
We facilitate the physiotherapy requirements of all the residents within the care home that staff and families identify would benefit from our services. Once agreed by the resident and their family, we provide our sessions within the care home, which removes the inconvenience and potential difficulty of the resident having to travel to appointments, meaning elderly patients can get the care they need easily.
How it works
Affiiliated care homes offer our services to thier existing and prospective clients as an attractive addition to their total care package portfolio.
Whether they receive a medical referral for a resident, deem they will benefit from our services or are asked by one of the families for physiotherapy intervention, we are always there to provide their physiotherapy solutions.
Once we receive a referral, we will introduce ourselves and our services to the resident and involving the resident's family/ carers we make arrangements with the care home for treatment. Although we like to liaise, involve and inform the care home and their staff of the treatment, we do not ask the care homes we work with for direct involvement in the payment process of our sessions. We deal directly with the resident and/or resident's family/carers for payment of our services.
